Please check the Word Of Lud hotline if you have any questions about the rules, the setting, or the application process. Our mods are also often in the chatbox, and other players help out too!
And if you read all of that, you get a delicious oatmeal raisin cookie!
APPLICATION PROCESS:
1. One character per player. No OC's at this time. (For this RP a character is not canon unless he/she has appeared in the a strip, the anime, a drama CD, or had an official profile completed.) No players under 16.
-
2. This is a Literate roleplay. Meaning NO chat speak and check your spelling and grammar before posting, and paragraphs are required.
-
3. In this Roleplay you use the human name of the Hetalia character. If they don't have one, make one up.
-
4. This forum uses a competitive application process.
- 1.) Player A posts that they would like a certain open character. mods accept this claim.
- 2.) Players B and C post that they would also like to try for the character.
- 3.) Player A and all other players who would like to app for this character must post their apps within a week of the mods accepting Player A's claim.
- 4.) The mods will choose the app they feel is most appropriate for the forum.
- 5.) the 'winning' Apper must complete a trial/probation thread with a mod. Trial players may also request threads with other trial players or established players.
-
5. Posting an app does not guarantee acceptance, even if there is only one player apping.
-
6. You may make a 'placeholder' account once your character claim is accepted. Please do not give it character details until your app has been accepted.
-
7. Don’t post on any of the in-character boards before you’re accepted. You may make posts to the FAQ, Or ask quesions in the OOC boards. We are very open to discussion in the cbox if you need help with your app.
FORUM/Chatbox ETIQUETTE:
8. Ask questions and be active- We want to get to know you and to get everyone participating! We love helping to plan ways to get your character involved, so don't be shy!
9. The Mod Staff reserve the right to end your time on the board based on behaviors both IC and OOC. Players will receive at least one PM warning. This includes negative behaviors in the chatbox.
-
10. Unless you're on an OOC board, please stay in character.
-
11. Don’t spam: don't quote other posts frequently or post a lot in a short timespan on the same thread.
-
12. No god-modding.
-
13. If you have any problems with other players that you do not feel you can resolve politely, please PM one of the mods. We’ll get it sorted out ASAP.
-
14. Post within 10 days after your last post. (approximately once a week minimum.) After this time period we will open your character. Posting OOc or chatbox RP'ing does not count as activity.
15. Take any "Mature" (sexy times, explicit violence, etc) to the proper forum and respect your partner. If they don't want to RP it, don't push it.
---- The [M] Forum is password locked. Players may pm a mod for the password.
-
16.-- Please label RP threads with the characters involved, either in the title or the first line of the text. The most common format is to put the character name or 'open' in [brackets].
--Label finished threads with [end], [finish] or [continues at (thread name)] in the last post so our mods know when to move them.
--If you post a hiatus thread, please post in the same thread when you return so we can keep track of our active players.
-
17. Setting specific rules are in their relevant subforum. Please read them.
-
18. Read the Chatbox Rules and Don't Be a Jack*ss.
-
19. And the most important rule: Have fun! The rules are here to make sure everyone has a good time!
DROPPED CHARACTERS
20. If your character times out (no activity after 10 days without notice of hiatus), the character will be opened back up. However, your account will not be removed until a new claim is made, so you have a chance to rescue your character.
---- we may or may not give you a warning on timeout. Please make all efforts to be active, but we're not going to penalize you if your only RP partner is on hiatus.
21. If you decide our forum is no longer a good fit for you, please let us know ASAP so we can open your character up for a new active player.
22. If you are interested in picking up a previously dropped character we can discuss how much continuity you want to have. you are not restricted to previous histories.
SOCIETY GOSSIP/ KARMA
23. The Karma System is not a popularity contest. The karma system is a way of saying ' good job' or 'WTF' to your fellow players. It starts at a neutral zero (0) and goes up or down from there. If you've made a post someone thinks is particularly creative or interesting or funny or well written, they might choose to give you 'Good show' and up your karma score. a neutral score does not reflect poorly on you.
-
24. Everyone can, and is encouraged to, use the karma system. just keep rule 25 in mind.
-
25. Do Not Abuse The karma System. Positive karma shouldn't be sprinkled out like candy, and Negative karma shouldn't be applied because you were in a bad mood that day. Imagine you have a very limited amount of karma each week, and cheer or censor people accordingly. Negative karma should be used very very sparingly.
Please check the Word Of Lud hotline if you have any questions about the rules, the setting, or the application process. Our mods are also often in the chatbox, and other players help out too!
And if you read all of that, you get a delicious oatmeal raisin cookie!
