Greece glared at the sign overhanging the clinic. He really didn't want to go in there. He'd heard great things about the doctor, of course, and he did need the training. But there was something, some weird feeling like it wasn't going to go that great.
He sighed and pushed his hair out of his face, adjusting the pack on his shoulders, heading into the clinic anyways. He'd have to ignore the nagging feeling for now and see where it went.
Once inside he looked around, searching out the man who was supposed to be running this show. "Excuse me? Doctor Turkey?" He called out, letting his pack slide to the floor out of the way of the door.

Lili held the piece of paper that was in her hand. The hospital had been way to busy for her to get proper training, so the head nurse handed her a piece of paper saying that she should go to this doctor to get proper training. She looked around to find the clinic and after a few minutes she reached the clinic.
She looked at the sign then back at the paper to look at the sign again. Yep, she was in the right place. She gave a sigh to gain control of her nervousness. She went up to the door and opened it peeking inside the building.
The inside of the clinic was nice and she kinda liked the feeling but she had to meet the doctor first that she was going to get her training from. She walked fully into the room and she noticed a man in front of her but she wasn’t sure if this was the man she was getting her training from. “Umm hello,” she said. Oh why did her nervousness had to kick in now?

Two letters of recommendations came to his house one day, that he'll have two interns that will be under his wing as of today. He sighed, he wasn't really the get to person to be a teacher. But hey, every one has to have a learning experience sometime in their life. Sipping his rather strong coffee and had prepared tea for his guests (hopefully they wouldn't mind lemon verbana and mint) and scones (or the wafting exotic smell of myrrh burning in a corner).
Still, he kept his shop in pristine condition. Until voices rang and brought him back to reality; he turned around and saw a young man and a young woman. Blinking and smiled, "You must be... Lili and Heracles."
"Welcome. I do hope you're prepared for the tasks ahead of you."

Heracles turned around as he saw the girl enter the shop. He opened his mouth to say something but just as he did a man walked through into the shop and he whipped back around to see the man he was going to be learning from.
He eyed the man critically, looking him up and down as if measuring him somehow. Would this guy live up to all his hype as a great doctor? Because he wasn't going to learn unless it was from the best. And this guy was supposed to be the best.
"Yes...I am...Heracles Karpusi."

Lili looked at the men in the room. She knew that the man that was going to say something was probably here to get training like her. She then turned her attention to the man that spoke her name. She stared at the doctor. She wasn't sure but he looked intimidating and she was feeling even more nervous in his presences.
'I hope I'm ready for this,’ thought Lili. She looked the doctor over and wondered if the head nurse was right about he was the right person to train her. She hoped that the nurse didn’t sent her somewhere because she didn’t want to deal with a newbie.
“I am Lili Zwingli,” said Lili. “And I’m ready.”

The two introduced themselves to him. True, he wanted a job outside the hospital since, he felt... confined in that white-halled block of a building where there is a hierarchy for everything. The young lad, Heracles, had almost something to say but remained tightlipped. Sadiq raised a brow and slightly frowned at this. "Is there something you have to say, Mister Karpusi?" Sadiq drawled slightly with poison.
He leaned on the nearby desk, crossing his arms and observed the two critically, like a general to his soldiers in battle. "Well then," He said. "Forgive my rudeness." Sadiq continued prompting himself up quickly like a hare. "My name is Doctor Sadiq Adnan." He said. "I prefer to be called Sadiq, since I really don't like formalities that much... and it wastes time." He pulled up their dossiers and flipped through them quickly. "Why did you two end up in this dingy place? I'm sure there is more than 'Oh that doctor is good at his forte.'"
"Hm?"

Heracles stayed close-mouthed, leaning against the wall as he watched Sadiq. He would have to get used to calling someone he saw as a superior at least in medicine by his first name. But if the man preferred it he would. Only...He said he didn't like formalities so.
"I'm here because the hospital would require me to stay there even when my ship left, which I can not do. Plus, I heard you were the best, old man." His lips curled up into the slightest smirk and his olive green eyes sparkled with a challenge.

Lili was totally shocked and confused as soon as the doctor’s mouth opened. She was so used to be formal with people that were higher than her that this was going to take awhile to get used too. But she wanted to keep this doctor happy, so if he wanted to be called by him first name then that was what she was going to do.
Lili felt nervous at talking and she was hoping that she didn’t sound rude or mean to what she was going to tell him. “The hospital was busy,” she said softly. “The head nurse said that it would be best if I came here to get my training.” She felt like going into a shell. Why did she fell so intimidated in here with the two males?

"I see." Sadiq easily.
"Very well." The older man said, dropping the folders like as if they were nothing. Yes, he can be intimidating; hopefully they won't be scared or anything. He just wanted to help, really. "I specialize in herbal medicine and I'm just a physician. Nothing to big, but I can do minor surgery like threading the skin and the like."
Of course being their superior, "What are your expectations from this? From me?" He asked.

"I hope to gain as much skill in medicine as possible so I can treat the airship men that I fly with. It can be dangerous up there at times and if you're up in the air you can't exactly land for every little medical ailment. These men need me and I need this training." He said evenly.

Lili felt her body stiffen when she heard about airships. She quickly relaxed her body. Things that happened in her past shouldn’t affect the way she would work to help save people’s lives. She looked up at Sadiq and gave a deep breath.
“I wish to learn as much as I can to help save people’s lives,” she said. “Working in a sewing shop, I heard the stories of what happens out in the world. I want to help the wounded.” She looked down at her feet at the end. ‘And to help the ones like me,’ she thought as she felt her scar slightly tingle.

"Aren't you both an ambitious bunch?" Sadiq said with a wry grin. "You." He said, darting to Heracles. "I need to focus on you since you're gonna fly everywhere for all I care." He sighed. "I'm sure you both know the basics of first aid and all that mumbo-jumbo."
He pulled something out of the closet: a blackboard and wrote something familiar to both. FEVER, was the word written on the board in his fine elegant script. "One of the most common medical signs that says something is wrong with you." He drew several bullet points under it. "So, what are known causes?"

"Infection causes the body to start fighting, raising the temperature of the body is one way the body has to kill it." Heracles rattled off, barely having to think about it. He looked over to Lili for her input as well.

“Stress can cause a fever,” said Lili. “It can lower the body’s defenses and make a person have a fever along with other symptoms.” She had to clasp her hands together in front of her. If her hands weren’t clasp, they would have been shacking. Most of these things were mental but she actually had to think on this question.

He wrote their suggestions down. "Good, good." Sadiq said, with an imaginary golf-clap chorus playing in his mind. The man played with the chalk for a bit, twirling it with his fingers. "So," He said. "How do you remedy a fever?" Obviously, he's just playing with them for a bit. He'll become serious later on. This is just a warm up, so to speak.
Let's see how will his trainees keep up to the pace.

"Feverfew and other herbs can lower a fever. You can also let the subject sweat it out in a sauna-type setting." He rattled off. He knew more ways, but he wanted to leave Lili answers to come up with as well. "But you don't have to do anything if the fever isn't too high. It's a natural defense mechanism of the body and best left to do it's job unless life-threatening."

“Keep the body comfortable,” said Lili. “If the patients’ body is relaxed then it can work on whatever the problem that is causing the fever. Along with keeping it hydrated the body should be able to get reed of whatever caused the fever.” Lili then guessed that spending at least a tiny bit of time at the hospital was really worth it. Her nervousness was slowly going away.

Good. Good. These kids aren't daft after all. This could be amusing, Sadiq thought. The older man grinned inwardly and just bobbed his head at his... pupil's responses. "Bravo." He said plainly, without excitement or even humor. "True, it's a natural defense mechanism for the body." He golf-clapped, but still... things are needed to be done.
He turned around for a moment and began talking in gibberish. He inhaled and sighed deeply, "Are you afraid of death?" He asked. It was a question out of the blue, but it's rather-- important, per se... in the field of medicine. Maybe these two know already why he was asking that question, or maybe not. He'll be happy to explain it.

Heracles' eyes widened when the question was asked. It seemed to be out of the blue, a completely random statement. But instead of answering immediately he took a minute to think about it. True, death was something that many found scary, but was it really something to be feared? Not only that, but what death was Sadiq asking about?
"Death is just the next great adventure." He said earnestly with a shrug. "And seeing other people die is a given in this profession." He looked to Sadiq as if he were asking him is he'd gotten the question right. makes Chase's puppy dog face *shot*

Lili started to think about the question that came out of Sadiq’s mouth. She had to take a moment to think about that question. Was she truly afraid of death? She came face to face with it a few times over the pirates that had kidnapped her and held the blade to her throat. She remembered blacking out when the blade would slightly cut off her breathing. She actually didn’t know how she was still alive; she guessed that she was too stubborn to give up.
She looked down at her hands messing with them. “I’m not afraid,” said Lili. “But then again deep in the subconscious mind I still might be.” She looked up from her hands. “Everything is a challenge that you have to face. Death included.”
