IT'S A TRAP! [Belarus, Russia, France, Denmark]

Alright, there was some crazy night in the C-Box, er, excuse me, every night is crazy night in there, but I think it was Denmark and I joking about luring Belarus away with information on her brother. (If I remembered who I was saying this with wrong, sorry. You will have to excuse my memory fails.)

I ended up mentioning this idea to Rus and she said she likes it! The idea is like this: Even though Belarus has joined the military and transferred to the area that her brother is in, he is away on a mission (maybe even a super-secret! mission) when she arrives, so she can't find out information on him right away. Lud is focused more on getting Belarus away from him and onto America's ship since he finds her so darn UNNERVING, and is not very helpful with providing info on Ivan's whereabouts. (And if we go with Russia being on some sort of sneaky spy or secret mission, then honestly Ludwig can't tell her anything.) This would also line up with Bela's decision to break into Lud's file.
So then France (and possibly Den and/or someone else) tells Bela that they know where her brother is. France is a pirate, and Ivan is a huge pain in the neck for them, since he's so badass.
So they lure her out, but it's a trap! *insert awesome fight scene* They kidnap Belarus because they want to get revenge(!) on the merciless Ivan!
So then we can have the siblings have a super-awesome dramatic reunion if he comes to rescue her, as well as a good skirmish between the pirates and military.

So would you have any interest in this idea? If so, do you want any parts to be different or do you have anything you also want?

And Den - do you want to actually be in on this plan? It would be crazy for a merchant and pirate to be working together to kidnap a military girl to use against another military person, but I bet we could find a reason for it to work if we tried! Just say so!

You are going to have a really confused and oblivious....'hostage'. I'm sensing that she doesn't understand the concept of her being kidnapped, until it's said in front of her face clearly and plainly. XDDD

i think we mentioned the 'breaking into luds' files thing as a joke in the cbox and someone said it felt like something she would do. it works with this plot idea though, so that's good.

Ah, I am bad about remembering what is a joke and what is not! >_< Though it seems like we are doing it now anyway, so that works out.

I think maybe it'd be best if Francis and Mathias actually get ahold of some legitimate info - not just that Ivan is around, because Bel already finds that out. So I guess maybe they could learn when he is coming back somehow. So I'm thinking they lure her and when Ivan returns, he gets the message of "We got your sis 'cause we wanna kick your ass" and then is like "I'MMA RESCUE YOOUUUUU". Francis would probably try to make some stipulations along the lines of, "Come alone. Don't tell the cops." Because otherwise he would get totally steamrolled by Ivan's ship and be dead.

Although Francis and Mathias is honestly a strange duo to try and be nefarious together, lol. (After they kidnap Bela, France is going to be surrounded by a bunch of oblivious people... XD )
How does Den end up being in on this plan? Do he and France hear the information at the same time? And why would he work with a pirate to lure her in the first place? Maybe France manipulates him? (Since you said Mathias probably wouldn't realize what they were really doing.)

Ugh, okay, as I am writing out all these details, I am realizing there are some things we need to figure out. Should this whole transaction take place on the ground, in the air, or a combo of both? When I was imagining all this, I was thinking it would be awesome if it led to an Epic Sky Battle! However, it seems more practical if it takes place on the ground. But if people *want* a sky battle, I am certain we can work that out, too. Depends on what you guys want to do.

I think France manipulating Denmark's er...low moral barrier is the most likely case. He's not that bothered by pirates, I think I like the idea of them hearing the information at the same time and Francis having a bit of a lightbulb moment and realising if he told Mathias to jump he'd ask how high. OTL

It makes most sense if Francis uses him to get something out of it and what I was thiiiinking is... If we *do* decide we want an Epic Sky Battle, then Francis will want to use him for his ship. It would definitely be to his advantage if he doesn't have to endanger his own crew's ship, and even moreso if he can find out more about a merchant's ship (they are pirate-prey, after all). So Francis would be like, "Hey I know the girl they are talking about! Let's have her come to your ship so we can help her meet her brother! Aren't we the nicest guys ever? *100-watt smile*"
Though this still depends on if we want this to conclude with an Epic Sky Battle or not. That is mostly up to Den and Rus. What do you guys think?


Also, I was thinking it might be interesting if we did a past-RP between Ivan and Francis to see why Francis wants revenge so much. I don't really have any ideas for this, though, especially ones that wouldn't involve all of Spain's crew, so I dunno.

The Epic Sky Battle thing sounds pretty fckin awesome but it'll be a little hard to RP out if Rus( & possibly Bela...? ) is the only one fighting against Francis & Den since he's pretty much a captain without a crew right now xD;; but it's possible. I could probably do it if you guys want to do it?

As for the past RP thing that sounds pretty good so we could have some sort of background history between the two and not just some random 'you hate pirates I hate you' thing. Since you don't have any ideas I'll drop one here and see if you like it or not. If it's a past-RP, maybe Francis hasn't joined Spain's crew yet but is pretty much a normal guy for now and doesn't have intentions of becoming a pirate YET and Ivan would already be in the military by then but not yet a captain I suppose. Maybe the two used to have some sort of friends thing going on but suddenly Ivan goes up a rank and becomes a captain and suddenly he's all distant and stuff like "I don't have time for you go away" or something and Francis is pretty much hurt like "ohyoubitch" and doesn't like it one bit. So he goes off and becomes a pirate and maybe they meet again by accident and Ivan is all "You're a pirate now? Well screw you." and Francis goes to another round of "ohyoubitch" and they have this epic fight and maybe Ivan wins and rubs it all over Francis' face that the pirates are useless and shit and we all know never to say that to a pirate 'cause it'll be war... and yeah.

I'm not sure if that'll make sense if anyone but me reads it xD;;

I like the idea of France being like "ohyoubitch." XD Your idea sounds pretty cool. I guess like when Francis first came to Londinium 3 years ago he met Ivan and they became friends. Or maybe even they met while France was traveling, in another city, and didn't meet again until Francis had already become a pirate in Londinium. (IDK if that works, either, but it would be cool. Resurfacing characters from their pasts, woo!) But it would be all dramatic, because Ivan would find out France is a pirate and be all like "You have lowered yourself to the level of filth!" and then Francis is all like "You're why I hate the military, you stuck up son of a pig! Engarde!" and then Ivan kicks his ass and France runs away like Frances do, until he can get his revenge!
(I'm sure they'd have more skirmishes inbetween as military vs. pirate, but we would just have to play out the one.)

You said it'd be pretty dramatic and actually yes it'd be so full of angst and drama everyone would just be like "WHAT THE FU--" the entire time but seeing as Francis and Ivan are pretty much dramatic on their own I think it'll be fine if there's a lot of '):< damn you's' going on in there. And the traveling actually works too! 'cause Ivan was some sort of traveling assistant before so maybe they met in a bar and stuff and liked each other but since he travels a lot it'd be something like a 1 month thing xD;; though it'd work.

Yes, this sounds pretty much spot-on. Although, when they were friends in the past, do Francis and Ivan leave to travel on good terms, but then become enemies only when they meet again?
Or does Ivan get promoted to Captain after they get to know each other, and then they grow apart? During the time they meet, Francis is actually on the run from his family, and therefore technically the law if they decided to involve the police, so it would make sense if Ivan decides that it would be better to not associate with someone like him after he gets promoted. So then when they meet again, they would actually rekindling an old animosity that began with the end of their friendship over 3 years ago.
Either way is good.

Also, I can't remember if you were around when Cake made "The Past" RP board, but roleplays set in the past have been approved, so whenever you want to start a thread for these two in the past, I am ready. Actually, there are multiple thread options we could write if we wanted (them meeting at a bar and hitting it off, Ivan telling Francis that he has been promoted, them leaving on good terms, them leaving on bad terms, them reuniting and being asses to each other, etc). Whichever one you want to have is fine with me.


Okay, now as far as Mathias and Francis goes... Things can go a couple different ways. The two are out in public somewhere (probably a bar, because that's how these things go), maybe even chatting drunkenly. They overhear the information that Captain Russia is returning to Londinium that day, and Francis has his lightbulb moment. Should we have the person with the info be just some random NPC? Or should it be another character? Would that be more fun, or just more confusing?
(If another player reads this post and thinks they want to be involved, feel free to post here and say so.)

I think I know now how to play out Francis' master-minded plan MWAHAHAHA (which is actually doomed to failure :'O ), so I won't detail it all in the interest of making the roleplay more exciting and fun. Since he is stringing Mathias and Natalya along, I figure that works. And if there are any other issues that I need to talk to y'all about as we go, I'll post them in here or bug you in the C-Box.

I guess as soon as we figure out how we want to handle the lead they get, we can start that thread.

Maybe when they leave ( like travel apart or something ) they still had some sort of connection with each other. Probably letters or word of mouth or something IDEK but they still talked frequently though not face to face. Then the moment comes when Ivan gets promoted to Captaincy and he becomes busier than ever. Of course he has to realize Francis is probably an outlaw ( since he IS running away from his family ) then the stuff you said will happen will happen and they just grow apart and start feeling this hatred for each other xD;;

Perhaps she mentions it in passing when France asks for the latest news during one of his visits to The Bar or something. Anyway, I'd love to help you guys out if you're interested.

Yes, definitely interested!
That's sort of what we had in mind. France and Denmark are at the bar drinking and chatting with each other and with Hungary, talking about the goings-on, and when France learns that Captain Russia is returning, that's when he gets the idea for his Brilliant Plan^TM!

I think it will still be a little bit of time before we can get this plan started, though. Not too too long, but currently France is in a lot of threads, so I need to get caught up on those before we start this one. But when it's time, I'll make the thread and tag you and Denmark.

Okay, let's see....

- Francis and Mathias are drinking at the bar, chatting with their lovely bartender Elizabeta about the latest news around town (I figure this might even be a regular thing - people talking to Hungary for info)
- Elizabeta says that Captain Russia is returning to port later that day
- Francis knows Russia and probably bitches about him, and knows that Belarus is looking for him
- He talks to Mathias about all this, and they are probably like "Boo hoo, it is so sad that they got separated" (Francis has mixed feelings about it.)
-Then Francis gets the idea to "reunite" the two, and asks Mathias to help him with his valiant plan
- Mathias agrees, thinking they are doing something nice
- They send a note or something to Belarus saying they have information about Ivan and to come meet them at the bar
- She arrives and the three of them head to the docks
- They get on Mathias' merchant ship because Francis wants to see inside
- Francis contacts Ivan to say that they have Natalya, and then chaos ensues

(There are a few more details to the plan, but they don't all need to be mentioned, since it's just going to be the logistics of France being all nefarious.)


We could also make it so that Natalya meets them at the docks instead of the bar, but I was thinking that 1) it would be nice to include Hungary in the thread for as long as possible and 2) it kind of sounds cute to have Natalya trail behind them through the city like "". X3
Although if they go to the docks first and have her meet them there, then France can contact Ivan sooner. I would rather there not be a whole lot of time between when Francis calls Ivan and when he arrives, since I imagine that there is only so much that those 3 can talk about while they wait. >.<0
