It had been a busy morning. The start of the work week meant that more ships were coming in and as a result of that, more customers. Toris didn't mind the work, though. As much as he hated to admit it, he really needed the money.
The success of the food stall had been a surprise to him. When he'd opened it, he assumed he might end up with a few regular customers, but it would just be enough to scrape by. But right now, the three stools at the counter were filled and he was packing up food for the customers without a seat. For the most part, they were very patient with him, starting up conversations while they waited for him to get their orders done. Toris didn't have any help with the stand and struggled to get everything done as quickly as he could, but no one really seemed to mind the extra wait. He smiled as he handed the package of food to the last person waiting for his order. Now that the rush had subsided, he had some time to take a short break and eat something.

Rumors had a way of reaching Feliks. He'd heard many a tale of a supposedly amazing food stand, and decided it was about time he checked it out. It was a bit late, perhaps, for lunch, but what did it matter.
He was in a good mood today, walking with a spring in his step and humming a song he'd learned as a child. He walked up to stall, which was left with only a couple stragglers from the lunch rush and leaned against the counter.

Toris finished the bite of food in his mouth as he picked up his plate and hid it on one of the shelves under the counter. A few of the people who had been sitting around had finished their own meals, so he cleared their plates before he turned to the new customer.
"Hi! What can I get for you today?" He couldn't help but feel that he'd met this person before, but he couldn't figure out from where.

"Uhm, I..." he started, then paused, tilting his head. "Wait, do I like, know you?" he asked, pursing his lips. He'd always had a good memory for faces, and knew he'd seen the brunet before.

"I don't know, sir," Toris said, laughing a little. "Do you?" The man had probably eaten at the stall before and forgotten. This wasn't the first time something like this had happened, and it probably wouldn't be the last. He simply saw far too many faces every day to keep track of them.

He brushed his hair back, pouting a bit. This was really beginning to annoy him. "I dunno," he sighed, waving his hand. "Uhm, like, just gimme whatever the chef recommends?" he said, too distracted trying to place him to think what he really wanted to order.

Toris nodded, turning back to the stove. As there weren't any other people waiting for their food, he took his time preparing a meal for this new customer, quietly humming a song his grandmother used to sing to him.
Once the food was ready, he set it on a plate and handed it to the man. "Here you are, sir. Please have a seat."

He smiled, taking the plate and sitting as instructed. "That was like, a nice song," said he. "I think I've heard it before..."

"What? Oh," Toris laughed, covering his face with his hand. "It's silly. It's a song my grandmother used to sing to me when I was little. I forgot the words." It was kind of embarrassing to be caught humming like that. He hadn't even realized the little blond could hear him.

He nodded, biting back laughter. "Y'know, you're cute. Like, what's your name?" He chirped, leaning forward on the counter.

Being called cute was even more embarrassing, but he was used to this kind of ribbing from his customers. A few of his regulars liked to joke that he was going to make a wonderful housewife some day. Toris smiled, pulling a rag out of his pocket to wipe the countertop down. "Toris. What's yours?"

"No way!" he exclaimed, positively beaming. That made sense, that he wouldn't be able to place him immediately. "Toris?! It's me, Feliks!" He was so excited, he was bouncing on the stool.

"Fe…? Feliks!" Toris ducked under the counter, nearly hitting his head as he came out on the other side. " What are you doing here?" He had honestly never expected to see his old friend in Londinium of all places.

"I totally live here! What about you?" And he couldn't resist the urge to jump down and pull the brunet into a tight hug. "Ohmygawd, it's been ages!!"

Toris laughed, returning the hug. "I've been living here since I left Lechia." He still couldn't believe that Feliks was here. "How long have you been living here? Are your parents here too?" He had so many questions, but he didn't want to bombard Feliks with them all at once.

He could tell that Toris had questions, and had to laugh a little. "Uhm, I came here a few years ago, after my parents died..."

"Died? I'm so sorry." He felt like such an ass. Why did he have to ask about them first? Toris gave Feliks a quick squeeze before letting go. "Is that why you're here?"

He laughed it off, waving his hand. "Yeah, I like, couldn't keep up the farm. Uhm, it's so good to see you again, after so long!"

Toris smiled sadly at his old friend. "It's good to see you too. I'm glad to see you're doing well." He hadn't thought about Lechia in ages, but now he was starting to get a little homesick for his grandmother's old house.

He had hardly thought of his childhood home since leaving, too many memories. He missed being a kid, and being surrounded by nature, certainly. He smiled anyways. "You grew up to be handsome~" he teased, laughing a bit.
