Sebastiano's stomach grumbled, and he frowned at it. He probably should have grabbed a snack on his way out to the marketplace...
He wandered around for a while, searching for somewhere to get a nice, quick meal, trying to ignore the occasional protest from his demanding stomach. He had enough time to grab some food, as his mother wouldn't be back for a while, so he could dawdle with picking up a few things before he had to be home.
Finally, he spotted a small food stall that seemed promising. He smiled triumphantly and walked over, waving at the man behind the counter. "Ciao! Is it alright if I eat here? I'm hungry..." As if on cue, his stomach gave another grumble, and he looked sheepish.

Toris hadn't had a chance to rest all day. It wasn't a bad thing, as he'd finally have some money for himself at the end of the day, but he was starting to get kind of tired (and maybe a little hungry). Still, he continued to cheerfully serve his customers, apologizing when they had to wait a little longer for their food.
When the man approached the counter, he smiled at him, trying to catch what he was saying over the noise of his other customers. "Hm..? Oh yes! Of course. Please look over the menu and I'll be with you in a second," he said, before turning back to serve the people who had been waiting at the counter. The man had gotten lucky. One of the people occupying the stools seemed to be getting up, so he would have a place to sit.

Sebastiano smiled and sat down where the other customer had been sitting, humming a little to himself and watching Toris curiously. The man seemed a bit tired, and Sebastiano could really blame him, working there by himself and all...
He fiddled with a stray string on his shirt as he looked over the menu. Hmm, it all looked so appetizing... Finally, though, he decided on one meal, and looked around as he waited for his turn to order patiently.
It was a cute little stall, he had to admit, though a little busy. Again, he thought of how Toris looked tired, making all that food for all those customers. He recalled his mother saying something about him getting a job of his own soon. He'd always assumed that he'd take over their café, but then again, he wouldn't mind working here...that is, if Toris was willing to let him.
He 'hmm'ed thoughtfully, gaze unfocused as he thought.

Toris had never even considered hiring help before. There really wasn't enough money for it and he hated having others do his work for him. But days like this one made him wish that he could take a day or two off without losing money from the stall.
It took almost ten minutes before Toris was able to turn his attention back to the man sitting on the far stool. "I'm so sorry for the wait, sir. What can I get for you?" The man looked to be as young as he was. Toris kind of envied him for having the kind of time and money to eat out at this hour.

Sebastiano blinked as his train of thought derailed (there were no survivors), focusing on Toris. He smiled, only just remembering what he'd decided on. He ordered, and paused, before deciding to ask after he ate. He might as well, there would be no harm in it, right? If Toris said yes, then he would have a job, and Toris would have help. And if he said no, then that was that, he supposed.
But first, food.

Toris nodded, turning back to the stove to prepare the man's order. While it was cooking, he took orders from a few other customers, people who weren't fortunate enough to find a place to sit, as well. He was doing his best to get everyone's food ready as quickly as possible. The man on the stool got his food first. Toris carefully placed his plate in front of him, balancing two others with his other arm. "Here you are, sir. Enjoy"

"Thank you!" Sebastiano said gratefully and grinned in pleasure, beginning to eat, closing his eyes as he did so. Ah, it was good...his stomach definitely approved.
He ate in silence for the most part, occasionally turning to chat with others around him politely (particularly to a pretty girl around his age that stood next to him). It was nice, he decided. Even if he didn't get a job, he would have to come here again. He liked it. It gave off a slight calming, comfortable aura, and the food was delicious.

Toris watched the man eat for a minute, making sure his new customer was enjoying his meal before moving on to serve the next few people. For the most part, he loved cooking for other people, making something that they could enjoy. But days like this, days when he was tired and overworked and hadn't had a chance to stop and eat something himself, made him hate it a little bit. Some of the customers were driving him crazy. The woman that showed up after the young man was making the most ridiculous requests about her food, but he couldn't say no. He turned back to the stove, trying to not rip out his hair as he started cooking again.

Sebastiano finished his meal, letting out a contented sigh and closing his eyes for a moment. That had been delicious. He certainly had to hand it to Toris--working here and making such wonderful food all by himself couldn't be easy. His complements to the chef, certainly.
He lingered, swinging his legs back and forth in a childish manner as he waited for Toris to turn his attention back to him. He would pay for the food, and then ask about the job, he decided, looking determined. He had to admit, if Toris turned him down, then he would be disappointed...but at least he'd have tried, right? And then there was always the possibility of being accepted, too!

Toris sighed as he collected empty plates from other customers who had already left. He carefully set them in the washing tray to let them soak for a few minutes while he took care of some other things.
The man sitting at the far end of the counter seemed to be done with his food. He went over to him and smiled. "Can I get you anything else, sir?"

"Actually, there is something..." Sebastiano started, leaning forward slightly and attempting to look professional.
It didn't work very well, but points for effort, right?
"You, ah...seem to be very overworked. So I was just wondering if you needed an extra helping hand?" He asked with a hopeful smile, green eyes wide and eager. "See, I really love cooking, and I like to think I do it well...and you look like you could use some help. So, do you think I could work here? I won't be difficult, I promise. But I really need a job, and I wouldn't mind helping out here if you need it!"
He waited for Toris to answer anxiously, not able to think of anything more productive to say. He probably could have been a little more mature about it, but maturity wasn't always a strong point of his. As long as he got his point across, he supposed...
